Rental Insurance Guide
In accordance with applicable state laws across the United States, renters are required to maintain auto liability insurance when operating a rental vehicle. Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is required as a condition of renting the vehicle to cover damage to the rental vehicle.
🛡️Auto Liability Insurance (Third-Party Liability)
Auto liability insurance covers bodily injury and property damage to third parties for which the renter is legally responsible arising from the operation of the rental vehicle and is separate from Collision Damage Waiver (CDW). Renter may satisfy the liability requirement using one of the following:
✅Personal Auto Insurance: An active personal auto policy that extends liability coverage to rental vehicles.
✅Non-Owner Auto Insurance: A non-owner auto insurance policy that explicitly covers liability while driving privately rented vehicles.
✅Short-Term Rental Insurance (All-in-One Option): Renters without personal or non-owner auto insurance may purchase short-term rental insurance from Bonzah or RentalCover, providing liability coverage and collision damage protection.
🚗Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) covers damage to the rental vehicle itself and is separate from auto liability insurance. Renters may obtain CDW either through Bonzah or RentalCover.com.

Short-term rental car insurance with affordable daily rates. Covers vehicle damage and offers peace of mind for your rental period.

Non-Owner Auto Insurance (Liability)
Monthly auto liability insurance for drivers who do not own a vehicle. Common providers include Progressive, GEICO, State Farm, and Allstate. Coverage must explicitly allow use with privately rented vehicles.
⚠️ Important Insurance Notice
To ensure a smooth pickup, proof of the required insurance must be submitted and verified before the vehicle is released. If you do not already have coverage, we can assist renters in navigating and completing the purchase of required coverage through third-party insurance providers.
We do not sell or underwrite insurance. All coverage is provided by independent third-party insurers, and renters are responsible for understanding and maintaining their selected coverage.
Vehicle Delivery Services
For your convenience, we offer vehicle delivery and return services to your location between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM. Round-trip pricing includes both delivery and pickup:
Delivery Rates (Round Trip)
- Up to 10 miles: $50 round trip ($25 one way)
- Up to 25 miles: $100 round trip ($50 one way)
- Up to 50 miles: $200 round trip ($100 one way)
Delivery Discounts
- Book 7+ days: Free delivery up to 10 miles
- Book 14+ days: Free delivery up to 25 miles
- Book 21+ days: Free delivery up to 50 miles
